I don't know, there's just something about this week that makes me want to change things up a little bit.
Something...new?
Something...slightly different?
What could it be. I can't imagine.
On Wednesday, for some reason, I felt a little celebratory, and I decided to open up a Jefferson's Golden Ale from Yards Brewing, in the heart of Philadelphia. You know, the cradle of American liberty, where they wrote the Declaration of Independence. Ben Franklin. The guy who invented the stove and all that.
This beer is inspired by a recipe said to have been used by Jefferson at Monticello. It's big with 8% alcohol, putting it up with beers in the Tripel category. It's extremely toasty, but nice smooth texture.
So feel free to change things up a little this weekend, and cheers to better days ahead.
